One moment of joy

I’m sure a lot of you are familiar with the latest social media trend #100DaysofHappy. If you’re not it’s simply this: each day, for 100 days, you post pix or comments of something that makes you happy. It can be as big as a raise or as small as a baby’s smile.
As much as I appreciate the concept I honestly can’t get into it. This may sound bad but I’m a natural pessimist, glass half empty kinda gal. Not that I haven’t tried to be happy and think positive thoughts, cuz I have. But I believe that some people just are what they are. There are folks who jump up in the morning and spread sunshine like jam all day long! I’m more of a midday person, and spread my sunshine in a more conservative fashion. There’s No right, No wrong ☀

Now having said that, I must tell you that I can occasionally see the brighter side of things….usually on a payday Friday, and after a couple of drinks 🍸🍸
On the other days I like to keep it simple, and focus on finding joy or peace moment by moment. Most days that comes at lunchtime when I go sit in the car, kick my shoes of and relax. There’s a train station close by and frequently one train or another (freight or commuter) will pass by.

I LOVE the sound of trains: the clickety-clack over the rails, the distant train whistle in the night. They speak of travel, adventure, something new and exciting along the way. This sound gives me momentary  joy, as it carries me away, just for a little while….🚅

Feel free to share your moment of joy ☺

Thanks for stopping by! 🌸

About Bella

I've reached my 40's with a few battle scars, but I'm still in one piece so I guess that's something to be thankful for. Married for a long time...well, what passes for long compared to many of my other friends. Almost 20 years. 3 kids: a teen and two tweens. Heaven help me! There's a lot about me to know but I always think that others won't find me interesting, isn't that sad? Writing is my passion. It's an outlet; it's a way to filter my world and the experiences I have. Blogging was a foreign concept to me when it first came out. But I GET IT now. It's therapeutic to unload. It's fun to read about the experiences of others. This is my way of meeting and greeting, overcoming the obstacles of time and distance. My hope is that you will stop and read my blog. That you will enjoy what I have to say, and we can have a chat. You're welcome anytime!
